Lydgate ~ calm waters with rock barrier, kiddie pool, playground and lifeguards! Between Kapaa & Lihue

Kalapaki Bay ~ calm waters, great for swimming, long walking beach, Rice St, Lihue

Kealia Kai ~ rough waters, beautiful waves and long walking beach, North Side of Kapaa

Hanalei Bay ~ walk for miles, surf or wade, walk to town, North Shore, Hanalei

Last but not least, the all-time best beach for me is Polihale. It’s a long strange trip to get there, but worth the ride! Bring everything you need and stay the day (recommend umbrella, sunblock, towels, snacks and drinks). Waters are a bit rough most days. West, West Side
